Medicare Supplement plans are referred to by letter, currently Plans A - L. Beginning June 1, 2010, there will be 10 different plan options. Plans E, H, I, and J will be eliminated and plans M and N will be added.
● Plans may require medical underwriting depending on your situation
● Monthly plan premium depends on the Medi-Gap plan you choose, YOUR AGE, and the insurance company
● Some Medi-Gap policies offer coverage for services that Original Medicare doesn't cover
Both Medicare Advantage (Medicare Part C) and Medi-Gap Policies (Medicare Supplements) help Medicare beneficiaries cover gaps in Medicare coverage. Which one is right for you depends on your particular situation. No one plan is right for everyone.
